The beast
It rose from beneath the land,
from a sleep of thousand years.
Once awake, it rose to stand,
and see the world before death nears.
"Aeons ago, it took birth.
Now it shall roam the earth."
********************************
The words flowed from soul to soul,
"how did land just change its face?"
Where a mountain stood, there was a hole,
From a desert, water ran its race.
"The world shall change," said a mage.
"the beast has escaped from its cage.
*********************************
The world continued to alter,
Exorcists worldwide tried their fate.
The unknown being did not falter,
But got for humans a very strong hate.
"It shall destroy us all,
it shall lead to mankind's fall."
**********************************
Meanwhile it set out to kill,
destroying things in its path.
Grinding walls like corn in a mill,
crushing them with its fiery wrath.
"We are destined to die,
It don't matter if we laugh or cry."
*******************************
Mankind realized, but too late
What heartlessness it'd done.
Those who suffer a cruel fate,
never wait for revenge to come.
Long ago, man lost his heart.
Now with life he shall depart.
****************************
Finally, it struck them,
To get back compassion into their lives.
And when the beast finally came,
Its heart was warmed with mankind's strives
Because of sympathy we are safe.
Never in a cruel way we'll behave.
***********************************
"Now, forever love shall stay,
In your lives.
Ever behave in a cruel way,
The air shall be filled with your cries."
There it was, upon the sand,
The writing of its colossal hand.
Wow!!! Excellent thoughts. Beautiful poems.
